Autism and Co-existing Conditions in Children
It is estimated that around 70% of people with autism have one mental health condition (such as anxiety, ADHD, depression or OCD) and around 40% of the 70% will have more than one. Some of these mental health conditions begin in childhood and are sometimes referred to as co-occurring or co-existing conditions.

High-Quality Open Access Accelerated
In February 2022, ACAMH publisher, Wiley, announced two new open access agreements to further accelerate open access research. In early February, Wiley and four Japanese institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding on open access publishing.

Wiley Open Access Agreements to accelerate Open Access Research
ACAMH publisher, Wiley, announce six new open access agreements with a number of institutions in order accelerate open access research. Researchers in a number of institutions will be able to access all ACAMH journals, as well as be able to publish open access in the JCPP and the CAMH at no charge to themselves from 2022 to 2024.

Mood Disorders and ASD: What not to miss
The autism community identified mental health as their top research priority in 2016.¹ Autistic children and adolescents are more likely than their general population counterparts to have psychiatric disorders.² For bipolar disorder, rates of 7% are seen in autistic children and adolescents versus 1% in their general population peers.
