It is from the conference, ‘Dyslexia from assessment to intervention’ was held on Friday 29 September 2017, and was organised by the Welsh ACAMH Branch. The day promoted the notion that the assessment of literacy difficulties should be the first step on a clear pathway to individualised interventions for children or young people.

Dr Gavin Reid has consultancies in Canada, UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australasia. He was visiting professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada in the Department of Education and Counselling Psychology and Special Education in 2007 and 2010. He is chair of the British Dyslexia Association (BDA) Accreditation Board and an ambassador for the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre and he is also an active consultant and team member for the Child Enrichment Medical Centre in Dubai, the Centre for Child Evaluation and Teaching (CCET) in Kuwait and for the Institute of Child Education and Psychology Europe (ICEPE).
